For mixtures containing [HgI_4] ~ (2-I-, I_2), iodine can be determined by removing Hg from sulfide. However, the interference of excessive sulfur ions should be managed to eliminate, resulting in complicated operation. The test with reference to the relevant information to remove mercury after the replacement of zinc, iodide ion selective electrode with direct measurement of iodine. The method is simple and rapid, reproducible, and not affected by Cl ~ -, especially for the determination of low levels of iodine, the results meet the analytical error requirements.
