Although Gesell et al. Described the assessment of muscle tone and reflexes in preterm infants, it was limited by prevailing conditions and there were very few surviving babies between 28 and 32 weeks of gestation. Due to the improved obstetric and pediatric care, the chance of surviving preterm infants at gestational age 23 to 24 weeks is increased, with no serious defects among survivors. This article is about the study of muscular tension and reflex in very young premature infants. METHODS: Forty-two preterm infants with a birth weight of <1300g were enrolled in 1983 and gestational age ranged from 24 to 32 weeks (2 / 3≤28 weeks). Blacks accounted for 71% of the patients without cerebral palsy. Week 1 week after the onset of neurological neurologist once a week on the muscular tension and reflex development system until a neonatal care center (NICU). The postnatal age (gestational age + week age) records the development of the average observed until 38 weeks. Application of paired t test on differences in upper and lower limb development
