In the process of Singapore’s rapid economic development, the role played by the government is enormous and cannot be ignored. The adoption of a controlling approach to managing various types of enterprises is one of the important aspects of the government’s economic management. In 1974, the government decided to focus all government investment on a holding company for management and control. In this case, the first government holding company, Temasek Holdings, was established. With the development of economy, the government has established several government holding companies in order to effectively manage and facilitate the development of some industries. At present, there are four main government holding companies, Temasek Holdings, which is affiliated with the Ministry of Finance, and the investment direction is mainly related to the financial industry.
