In the design of reinforced concrete foundations in accordance with the current specifications, the useful life of the foundation itself is usually not considered, and this leads to an increase in the construction cost. This article discusses the optimal design method for reinforced concrete foundations that are not subjected to maintenance within their useful life under the action of aggressive media. In the optimization design, the different results were compared irrespective of the duration of use and the duration of use (T_1=50 years, T_2=20 years). The optimized object is a stepped independent foundation under the reinforced concrete column. The section of the column is 1 x 1.3m, and the column section is 1.2 x 1.5m.
