这台数字式星体跟踪器与以往类似设计在电路和工作职能方面都有很大的区别。和宇宙飞船所有数字控制系统一样,此跟踪器兼有低电平模拟信号处理装置和数字误差制控与指令系统。采用数字电路所获得的附加作用包括:程序控制亮度门限电平、指令控制电子瞄准、捕获/探测计算,因此使杂散光线的影响减至最小。对此仪器实验室模型所作的成功试验表明,数字式星体跟踪器具有一些独特的性能。
This digital astral tracker is very different from similar designs in the past in circuit and job functions. Like all spacecraft digital control systems, this tracker combines low level analog signal processing with digital error control and command systems. Additions to digital circuitry include: program-controlled brightness threshold levels, command and control electronics, and capture / acquisition calculations, thus minimizing the effects of stray light. Successful experiments with this instrument lab model show that the digital astral trackers have some unique properties.
