自2000年2月以来,江泽民同志提出并多次论述“三个代表”的重要思想。2001年7月1日,江泽民同志在庆祝中国共产党成立80周年大会上发表重要讲话,以马列主义毛泽东思想邓小平理论为指导,坚持解放思想、实事求是的思想路线,全面回顾和系统总结了中国共产党80年的光辉历程和基本经验,全面阐述了“三个代表”重要思想的科学内涵。今年5月31日,江总书记再一次强调指出:全党同志和全国上下一定要高举邓小平理论伟大旗帜,全面贯彻“三个代表”要求,努力开创建设有中国特色社会主义事业新局面。这既表明“三个代表”与马列主义、毛泽东思想、邓小平理论是一脉相承的,又指明了“三个代表”重要思想的历史地位。中国共产党每一代领导集体都面临着不同的时代课题。以毛泽东为核心的第一代领导集体面临的时代课题是怎样建立社会主义;以邓小平为核心的第二代领导集体面临的时代课题是怎样建设社会主义;以江泽民为核心的第三代领导集体面临的时代课题是建设一个什么样的党,怎样建设党。对不同时代课题的深入思考与解答,构成了马克思主义中国化的理论成果。“三个代表”重要思想第一次把代表中国先进生产力的发展要求、中国先进文化的前进方向同代表中国最广大人民的根本利益统一起来,深刻揭示了党的先进性的基础、灵魂和本质,大大丰富了马克思主义的党建学说。党的十六大召开在即,在新的历史时期,举什么旗、走什么路依然是个突出的问题。全党上下应统一思想,以邓小平理论和“三个代表”重要思想为指导,与时俱进,把建设有中国特色的社会主义事业推向前进。
