高校技术基础课程的双语教学正在成为我国高等教育发展的一个热点,搞好双语教学是使我国高等教育与国际接轨的一个重要环节,也是培养高素质人材的必要环节。高校技术基础课程进行双语教学的是非常必要的,我国高校英语教育过程存在的一些关键问题急待解决。工科技术基础课程的许多性质使进行双语教学变得完全可行,而师资方面的高要求已变成开展系列化、规模化双语教学的最大难点。找到精通课程的技术内容,同时英语水平高的教师很不容易。解决问题的办法有系统培养教师及充分发挥留学回国人员的作用等。笔者近年来开展双语教学的一些实践与体会表明,有了优秀的师资队伍、先进的教学体系,完全可以卓有成效地开展高校技术基础课程的双语教学工作。
Bilingual teaching of technical basic courses in colleges and universities is becoming a hot spot in the development of higher education in our country. Bilingual teaching is an important link to keep our higher education in line with international standards and an essential part of training qualified personnel. It is very necessary to carry out bilingual teaching in basic technical courses of colleges and universities. Some key problems existing in the process of college English education in our country are urgent to be solved. The many properties of the basic course in engineering science and technology make it feasible to conduct bilingual teaching. However, the high demand of teachers has become the biggest difficulty in carrying out series and large-scale bilingual teaching. Finding proficient in the technical content of the course, at the same time the teacher of English is not easy. The solution to the problem is to systematically train teachers and give full play to their role in returning overseas students. In recent years, the author has conducted some bilingual teaching practice and experience shows that with excellent faculty, advanced teaching system, can effectively carry out the basic technical courses in colleges and universities bilingual teaching.
