真核生物染色体以DNA与组蛋白构成的核小体为基本组成单位,组蛋白分为核心组蛋白和连接组蛋白。卵子特异性连接组蛋白(H1foo)是在哺乳动物卵子中特异存在、各期卵子及早期胚胎中持续表达的连接组蛋白。研究表明,H1foo在卵子发育中减数分裂的完成、受精时精子染色质的重构、早期胚胎发育及体细胞核移植过程中的基因表达、染色质表观遗传修饰等方面具有不可替代的作用。越来越多的研究开始以H1foo的表达情况作为衡量卵子质量和早期胚胎发育潜能的标准之一。

An increasing number of studies have begun to H1foo expression as a measure of egg quality and early embryonic development potential of one of the criteria.
