本文介绍了《孙子兵法》的英译情况,对中外译者关于先秦典籍的翻译的侧重进行了初步的探讨。文章首先简要介绍了《孙子兵法》在中国文化中的地位。《孙子兵法》对中国的影响深远,涉及社会生活的各个方面。《孙子兵法》是中国古代军事著作,是在军事战略和战术的权威著作。如果要深入理解东方的军事思路,商业策略,在很多问题上都必须回溯到《孙子兵法》。本文重点介绍了《孙子兵法》的英译情况。并对其中的重要译家和译本进行了简要的评述,指出了这些译本在翻译上的不同风格。作为典籍英译的一部分,中外译者对《孙子兵法》的英译为中国文学和中国文化走向世界做出了巨大贡献。文章最后针对以上各部分的分析,对如何做好《孙子兵法?的英译提出了几点意见,以期推动典籍英译的发展,促进文化交流。
This article introduces the English translation of Military Science of Sun Tzu and probes into the emphasis of Chinese and foreign translators on the translation of Pre - Qin classics. The article first briefly introduces the position of “Art of War” in Chinese culture. The Art of War has far-reaching implications on China and involves all aspects of social life. “Art of War” is an ancient Chinese military writings, is an authoritative book on military strategy and tactics. If we want to gain a deeper understanding of the military thinking and business strategies of the East, we must go back to the “Art of War” on many issues. This article focuses on the English translation of The Art of War. It also gives a brief review of the important translators and translations and points out the different styles of these translations in translation. As part of the English translation of classics, Chinese and foreign translators have made great contributions to the Chinese translation of the Art of War by turning Chinese literature into the world. Finally, according to the analysis of the above parts, the article puts forward some suggestions on how to do a good job in the English translation of “Art of War by Sun Tzu” so as to promote the development of English translation of Chinese classics and promote cultural exchange.
