唐代著名散文家和诗人韩愈(768——824),字退之,河南河阳(今孟县)人。贞元十九年(803)任监察御吏,当年十二月被贬阳山县令。韩愈因何贬职,有何心境和功绩,笔者作初步探讨。 一、韩愈贬职阳山的原因 韩愈被贬阳山县令,原因有二: 一是关中旱机,上疏请宽民徭而得罪权贵。贞元十九年,关中“自正月不雨,至于秋七月”。(《资治通鉴》卷二百三十六),天旱民饥,刚任监察御吏的韩愈为尽诔官的责任,欲为民减轻负担而写了《即史台上论天旱人饥状极》。谏书说:“臣伏以今年已来,京畿请者,夏 Tang Dynasty famous essayist and poet Han Yu (768--824), the word back, Henan Heyang (now Meng County) people.
