《阿丽思漫游奇境记》一书自1865年面世以来,就成为家喻户晓的儿童读物。赵元任(1892—1982)是这书的第一位中国译者。在译者序中,赵指出此书是“一部给小孩子看的书”及“笑话书”。本文将引用儿童故事、笑话和翻译理论,以赵译《阿丽思漫游奇境记》中的例子,如戏仿诗、双关语笑话和不通笑话等,分析译本面对在中国1921年文学及文化上的诸多掣肘下,能否如原著般经历时间洗礼,仍能达到此两类文本的效果——让儿童喜欢,令读者发笑。
“Alice in Wonderland,” a book since its inception in 1865, has become a well-known children’s books. Zhao Yuan Ren (1892-1982) was the first Chinese translator in this book. In the translator’s sequence, Zhao pointed out that this book is “a book for children” and a “joke book.” This article will cite children’s stories, jokes and translation theories as examples in Zhao’s translation of “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland,” such as imitating poetry, puns jokes and jokes, analyzing translations in China in 1921 and Under the constraints of culture, whether we can experience time baptism as before can still achieve the effect of these two types of texts - letting children love and make readers laugh.
