在用某些仪器测量介质的成份、流量和温度时,仪表的输出和输入之间呈非线性关系,使显示仪表的刻度不均匀,这样读数不方便,调节精确度也差。若在发信器和显示仪表之间加一台线性化器,对上述非线性关系进行补偿,就可以使显示仪表刻度线性化,读数方便,调节精确度也可以提高。但是线性化器的调整是比较麻烦的,在生产中发现仪表的线性和精确度不高,如果找不到补偿曲线,要对其进行调整是不可能的。因此调整前必须根据非线性关系画出其对应的补偿曲线,从中找出调整用数据。
