随着火山岩地区找矿工作的不断进展,对火山作用与火山机构的研究显得更为重要。由火山爆发形成的火山弹,虽然在空间分布上有局限性,然而它却是目前研究火山作用与火山机构的重要依据之一。以往不少人认为,粘度小的基性、中基性熔浆在火山爆发时,易于喷至空中旋转、扭动、坠落而形成各种形态的火山弹。但对于含H_2O、SiO_2高而粘度大的酸性熔浆,在火山爆发时也可以形成各种形态的火山弹这一事实,不少人却持怀疑甚至否定态度,因此,有关酸性火山弹的报道很少。我们在西天山进行区域地质调查时,于铁木里克地区发现一古火山机构,其中发育着各种形态的酸性火山弹。其外部形态、表面结构、弹体成分、内部结构、空间分布规律及坠落堆积特征等,均与该区晚石炭世火山活动密切相关。

When we conducted a regional geological survey in the Western Tianshan Mountains, we found an ancient volcanic body in the Tiemurik area, in which various forms of acidic volcanic bombs were developed. Its external morphology, surface structure, body composition, internal structure, spatial distribution and deposition characteristics of falling are closely related to Late Carboniferous volcanic activity in this area.
