在毛主席革命路线指引下,我市广大干部和群众,遵照毛主席关于“人民公社一定要把小麦种好,把油菜种好”的教导,1974年对油菜进行了大面积试种,获得成功。全市试种的三万六千九百一十七亩油菜,在大面积间套种的情况下,混算平均亩产油菜籽五十三斤,并出现许多高产典型。旅顺口区海鹰公社科研小组一亩三分地油菜,平均亩产三百四十斤。金县友谊公社光明六队五亩五分地,平均亩产三百二十七斤。复县示范场二亩四分地,平均亩产三百二十五斤。庄河县小孤山公社农场大队四十五亩三分地,亩产二百七十六斤。新金县泡子公社谷泡子大队后袁西队五亩五分地,亩产二百三十八斤。金县董家沟公社城南大队一百六十亩油菜,平均亩产一百四十斤。
