美国乔治城大学调查两家医院的产房,发现其光照强度比一般居室照明强2—3倍,而在这两家产房出生的330名新生儿,其眼部损伤率达36%,早产儿有86%发生视网膜病,严重的引起失明。据分析,胎儿习惯于母体子宫内的‘黑暗’环境,离开母体后突然接受强光,对柔嫩的眼球组织显然是有害的。
Georgetown University surveyed the maternity wards of two hospitals and found that their light intensity was 2-3 times stronger than that of normal room lighting. However, the 330 newborns born in the two maternity wards had an eye damage rate of 36% and preterm children 86% of retinopathy, a serious cause of blindness. According to the analysis, the fetus is accustomed to the “darkness” environment inside the mother’s uterus, and suddenly receives strong light after leaving the mother body, which is obviously detrimental to the tender eyeball tissue.
