In the 1960s, the advent of high-strength, high-modulus carbon fibers enabled the manufacture of advanced composites. Currently, carbon fiber composites have begun to become indispensable materials for aerospace and aerospace. The theoretically achievable modulus of carbon fiber is about 800Gpa, but most of the carbon fibers now manufactured are only 200-250Gpa, which is only 1/4 of the theoretical value.
