日本投降后,美国基于遏制日本、扶植中国的亚洲战略,致力于将中国境内所有日俘日侨全部遣返。中美在合作遣返的同时也存在分歧:出于战后重建需要,中国国民政府则希望留用部分日籍技术人员,但在美国压力之下,国民政府只得妥协,将留用的日俘日侨分批遣返。最后,中国境内日俘日侨的遣返工作得以较为圆满地完成。
After Japan surrendered, the United States, based on its Asian strategy of containing Japan and supporting China, is committed to repatriating all the Japanese detainees in China. There are also differences between the United States and China on repatriation: For the sake of post-war reconstruction, the Chinese government wants to retain some Japanese technicians. Under the pressure of the United States, however, the Kuomintang government only has to compromise and retain the remaining Japanese captives Repatriate. Finally, the repatriation work of Japanese invaders and Japanese overseas Chinese in China can be completed satisfactorily.
