在图书馆流通工作中经常会出现拒借现象。如果一个图书馆经常有很高的拒借率,那么这个图书馆的服务质量是有问题的。就中专图书馆而言,假如教师经常借不到备课所需要的教学参考资料,就会使教学受到影响。图书馆的领导和工作人员对拒借现象不应听之任之、心安理得,而应从对读者负责的态度,多方面地、仔细地检查分析产生拒借的原因,并采取积极有效的措施加以解决。产生拒借的原因大致有:由于图书经费不足,不能适当增购复本,至使供不应求;到馆新书不能及时投入流通;执行制度不严,读者借阅数量过多,长期不还,使藏书不能正常周转;图书馆工作人员责任心不强,文化水平又低,业务不熟练等等。产生拒借的主客观原因虽然很多,但工作人员的职业道德,文化素养和业务熟练程度等主观原因对拒借率的影响是很大的。首先,图书馆员应热心自己的工作,
