我参与采写的《怀化有家“三假”医院》(载2002年6月9日《湖南日报》)在全国党报舆论监督优稿评选中获得一等奖后,今年“3·15”前夕又在全省维权好新闻评选中获一等奖。高兴之余细想,这次获奖是因为选准了一个有新闻价值的题材,更是对不辞辛苦深入采访的回报。接到线报群工部的稿件,多是从群众来信来电提供的线索。我们从中选取有新闻价值的线索,通过调查核实后再见报。而有的线索看起来很有新闻价值,但有的是举报人担心受到报复,匿名举报,以致于采访缺少知情人配合而困难重重,甚至于最后因无法了解到扎实情况而不了了之。还有的因为举报人出于不可告人的目的,捏造事实,对单位或个人进行诬陷而不敢留下真实姓名。所以对匿名信,记者要精心分析,设法找到举报者,一般不会轻易下去采访。2002年6月初,一名在怀化军干所康复医院受聘的游医因与医院发生利益冲突打来电话自曝内幕,称该院聘请了多名游医,冒充教授、发布大量假广告、用所谓的祖传秘方骗人。当时全国上下正在大力整顿医疗市场,这无疑是个好题材。但怀化远离省会,是个偏远的地
