乌克兰金属科学研究所研究出了以铸造方法直接从钢水中取得钢砂。铸造钢砂的技术规格如下：（1）化学成分：C=0.60—0.75％；Si=0.17—0.37％；Mn=0.50—0.80％；S≤0.06％和P=0.08％；（2）钢砂的形状为球形，形状不规则的钢砂数量不超过7％；（3）钢砂制造的规格为：2.5；3.0；3.5和4.0
