在实际生产中,铣削六方一般是用分度头来实现六方分度的。这种方法的缺点是工件要留工艺夹头,并打中心孔,还不能采用大的切削用量,生产效率较低。我们设计了图1所示的工装,用它铣削六方时可避免上述缺点。加工时首先用虎钳夹住工件,铣出六方的一个面,然后用图2所示的方法铣出第二个面,用图3所示的方法铣出第三个面,最后分别铣出已加工出的三个面所对应的三个面,这样就完成了六方的加工。
