The M160 flail light remote control minesweeper uses a rotating flail arm with several chains and hammers on it, similar to a heavily armed lawn mower that is used primarily to clear anti-infantry mines. This track-mounted remote control battle engine is designed for on-board occupants or off-board soldiers, destroying or detonating anti-personnel mines by means of a high-speed rotating chain hammer. The system has transitioned from the US Army’s rapid response interim purchase to regular acquisitions.
