After entering the 90’s, the global market for stepper was gradually dominated by Nikon, ASML, SVGL and Ultratech. Especially in the mid-to-late 1990s, with the shrinking and withdrawal of some companies’ markets (such as GCA in the United States), the global Stepper market rapidly concentrated in four companies, namely Nikon, Canon, ASML and SVGL. Among them, Nikon Company consistently ranked Leader, exclusive occupy the global market share of more than 40%. In its heyday of 1996, the company’s global market share was close to 60%. Canon’s global Stepper market share has been close to 25%, the mid-90s due to ASML market share gradually expanded, making Canon’s market share declined, accounting for about 20% of the global market share. ASML, the most notable company in the global Stepper market, came out of the market as the company stepped up to the global marketplace in the late 1980s and took shape in the early 1990s with nearly 10% of the world’s Stepper market.
