由清华大学和加拿大不列颠哥伦比亚大学(UBC)联合举办的“国际旧城改造高级研讨会”于1992年11月26日至12月5日在清华大学举行。此次会议就旧城改造的政策导向、经济分析、城市设计、环境效益与历史文化的协调等方面进行了广泛的讨论,尤其就市场经济条件下的土地经济问题进行了深入探讨。 本文是作者在闭幕式上的讲话记录。作者指出,当今中国乃至世界都面临着一个转变时代,我国正在向社会主义的市场经济体制转化,城市规划工作如何适应这个大的转变?作者强调要加强研究西方市场经济的规划观念,发展中国的城市规划学,加强城市规划的人才培养,迎接城市规划工作的伟大变革。
The “International Workshop on the Transformation of Old Cities” jointly organized by Tsinghua University and the University of British Columbia (UBC) was held at Tsinghua University from November 26 to December 5, 1992. The meeting held extensive discussions on the policy orientation, economic analysis, urban design, environmental benefits, and historical and cultural coordination of the old city transformation, especially on the issue of land economy under market economy conditions. This article is a record of the author’s speech at the closing ceremony. The author points out that both China and the world are facing an era of transformation. China is transforming into a socialist market economic system. How does the urban planning work adapt to this big change? The author emphasizes that we must strengthen the study of the planning concept of Western market economy and develop China’s Urban planning, to strengthen the urban planning of personnel training, to meet the great changes in urban planning.
