中国艺术家与国外艺术家能有机会在同一时间和场地进行创作。这本身已是一件难得的事情。尤其是在国内,能在“大赛”的标题下共同完成作品,除了雕塑界于1993、1995年在山东威海和1996年在天津的国际雕刻大赛之外,其它领域的艺术家尚无类似的机会。尽管“大赛”的提法可能是出于促成申请的考虑,并且评委会最后以向所有参赛者颁发“创造奖”而获得皆大欢喜的结局,然而在实际上无法确立任何所谓的比赛规则的这类
Chinese and foreign artists have the opportunity to create at the same time and venue. This in itself is a rare thing. Especially in China, the works can be completed under the title of “Competition”.
