本文在古象牙化石研究的基础上用顺磁共振法对安徽出土的麋廘角化石样品进行了年代测定,并用透射电镜电子能谱及X射线衍射等方法,考察了麋鹿角化石的结构及组分为羟基磷灰石。ESR的实验表明,拟选取化石中的骨密质层作为测定年代的依据,根据电感耦台等离子体发射光谱测定铀、钍、钾的含量,采用铀的线性积累模式和铀不平衡衰变计算其年剂量,从而确定化石的年龄为2.5×10~4a。
