新余,位于江西省的中西部,辖一县一区,人口110.3万,面积3178平方公里,然而小市不“小”,新余市的职业教育雄居江西省“龙头”地位,在全国也名气大噪。尤其是新余的民办职业教育走出了一条“小城市办大教育”的成功之路,被教育部专家誉为“新余现象”。●新余拥有6所民办高校,28所民办职业中专全市民办职校固定资产达5.6亿元。●全市职业学校在校生总数6-3万人,中职与普高招生比例为65∶35,在校生比例为59∶41。●以每个在校生人均年消费额8000元计算,新余市一年从市外聚集资金4.6亿元,加上每年近2亿的固定资产投资,6.6亿元资金直接带动了新余市国民经济的增长和第三产业的发展。民办职业教育对新余市GDP的贡献率达到13.7%。
