The extraction of palladium (Ⅱ) from DHDECMP in xylene solution from hydrochloric acid solution was studied. The distribution ratio of palladium (Ⅱ) increases with the concentration of aqueous hydrochloric acid and the extractant of organic phase. When the aqueous hydrochloric acid concentration is greater than 0.5 mol·L -1, the extraction equilibrium can be expressed as pd 2 + 2H 2 ++ 4Cl 2 + 2DHDECMP- (o) [PdCl 4 2- -) · 2H ~ + DHDECMP] _ (o) IRD spectra of DHDECMP and the organic phase after extraction equilibrium show that the P = O group in DHDECMP is protonated and associates with PdCl_4 ~ (2-) into the organic phase Pd (II) is extracted.
