According to the Ministry of Land and Resources, the National Bureau of Statistics of China and the National Agricultural Census Office jointly released, as of October 31, 1999, China’s arable land area of 130 million hm ~ 2, and another 10 million hm ~ 2 garden, 228 million hm 2 of woodland, 26.6 million hectares of pasture land, 24 million hm2 of residential and industrial land, 5.46 million hm2 of transportation land, and the rest of the water area and unutilized land. According to the number of surveys, the per capita arable land in China is 0.106hm ~ 2, which is still less than 1/2 of the per capita level in the world and the distribution is very poor
