The early 20th century American poetry experienced an “imagery” innovation, quite sensational in the field of poetry. Strong inner feelings, superposition of images and concise and clear language are the distinctive features of the poetry of imagery, in which the beauty of the image can most impress the reader and arouse the aesthetic resonance between the reader and the poetry.
