笔者研究了霍华德.加德纳的多元智力理论,认为可将其归为能力来理解,即由基本智力组合后形成的人们用来解决实际生活中的问题的能力。而基本智力有5种:注意力、记忆力、观察力、思维力和想像力。而外语学习与智力的关系实为相辅相成,相互促进的。外语学习能在一定程度上推动各种智力的发展和提高,而智力对学习效果也有制约的作用。因此,在外语教学中要使用多种教学策略与方法,以促进各基本智力的培养与发展,从而提高学生的外语能力。
The author studied Howard Gardner’s theory of multiple intelligences and thought that it can be understood as ability, that is, the ability of people formed by a combination of basic intelligence to solve real-life problems. There are five kinds of basic intelligence: attention, memory, observation, thinking and imagination. The relationship between foreign language learning and intelligence actually complements each other and promotes each other. Foreign language learning can promote the development and improvement of various intelligences to a certain extent, and intelligence can also restrict the effect of learning. Therefore, a variety of teaching strategies and methods should be used in foreign language teaching to promote the cultivation and development of basic intelligence, so as to improve students’ foreign language proficiency.
