油井堵水是提高油田无水采收率和最终采收率,增加油井产量,从而降低原油生产成本的一项井下工艺措施。选择性堵水技术又以作业简单、节省施工时间等优于非选择性堵水。采用聚合物选堵是较有前途的一种方法,国外已取得一定成效。水解聚丙烯酰胺(HPAM)在多孔介质中能显著降低水相渗透率而较少影响油的流动性,因而可作为油井选择性堵水剂。六十年代以来,,国外许多现场使用证明,水解聚丙烯酰胺作为油井选择性堵水剂有广阔的前途。从1970年开始,美国某公司用HPAM处理了400多口井,处理后,88%出现显著降低水油比,其中72%已收回处理费的2400%。又如,
