智能运输系统 (ITS)是使用信息技术和控制技术来实现其运作的运输系统。当把这些重大技术的进步和适当的政策制定及制度实施结合起来 ,那么对ITS而言 ,就能增强运输系统诸多方面的功能 ,而这些功能又增加现行系统的通行能力 ,减少对新增运输车辆或对基础设施建设的需求 ,为了提高效率 ,设计ITS涉及到许多工程领域的知识。在系统工程中 ,这些技术融合的结果可为出行者和操作人员同步判断提供及时准确的信息。另外 ,为了实现ITS所有功能的协调性和互补性 ,必须建立完善的体系结构和标准
Intelligent transportation system (ITS) is a transportation system that uses information technology and control technology to realize its operation.
