Objective To investigate the value of detecting the content of HA in urine to diagnose bladder cancer. Methods Urine samples from 47 patients with bladder cancer and 21 healthy controls were collected and the content of HA was measured by ELISA. Results The average content of HA in urine of 47 patients with bladder cancer was 332.43 ± 46.8 ng / mg and that of 21 normal controls was 116.4 ± 17.2 ng / mg. There was a significant difference between the two (P <0.001). The level of HA in G3 group was significantly higher than that in G1 group (P <0.01). Compared with Ta group, the level of HA in T1 and T2 stage patients was significantly increased (P <0.01). When the HA level in the urine was higher than the upper limit of HA in the normal control group, which was 133.6ng / mg, the sensitivity and specificity of detection of HA in urine were 89.9% (42/47) and 90.5% (19%) respectively /twenty one). Conclusion The detection method of HA in urine is simple, non-invasive, and has high sensitivity and specificity, which can be used as auxiliary diagnosis of bladder cancer.
