李健吾以“咀华批评”蜚声文坛,研究者一般将这一成就的取得,归结为李健吾留学法国时期受到印象主义的影响并加以运用的结果。如果说印象主义理论是他文学评论的基石,那中国传统文学和评论的浸染则是他批评的充足养料。李建吾的文学批评受到法郎士等人印象主义的影响,同时,他文学批评的主要特征,也受到了传统文学和批评的熏染。由此,形成了“中国式”的印象批评,也就是他1的随笔体批评。
