工程规则是工程哲学的基本范畴之一。随着工程哲学研究的不断深入、减免工程事故发生及其危害日益迫切,在理论和实践上关注工程规则成为必然。工程规则研究对于开启和促进工程的知识本体论研究、科学技术与社会(STS)研究、工程哲学的基础研究具有积极的理论意义,对于减免工程事故、促进工程安全、推进中国的和谐社会建设具有重要的实践意义。从本体论、过程论、STS的视角,考察工程规则的知识结构、合理性、生成、运行、变迁、社会文化意蕴等内容,是工程规则研究的具体路径之一。
