Walter Mitty， a daydreaming magazine proofreader （校对员）， likes to imagine himself as a hero experiencing great adventures. His dream becomes true when he accidently meets a mysterious （神秘的） woman and gets a little black book on his journey to find a missing picture. Soon Mitty finds himself in the middle of a conspiracy （阴谋） and has to admit that being a hero in real life isn’t that easy.
