近年来,童树根这个朴实甚至略带几分泥土气息的名字频频出现在书法专业报刊上,并且连续三次参加由中国书协举办的高规格书法作品展览。早在十几年前,其恩师、中国美术学院教授、当代著名书法理论家陈振濂先生就对树根厚爱有加,认为他是一位勤奋踏实的青年。 “书为心画”,树根在书法学习上不慕虚名,不随人作计,他崇尚传统,取法高古,在扑朔迷离的当代书法热潮中始终站稳脚根。“揉千曲而后晓声,观千剑而后识器”,树根书路宽,真草隶篆无不涉猎,勤于用功,二十年孜孜以求,终成自家面目,特别是行草书作品融碑帖于一炉,清新典雅,流美多变,令人称道。
