From September 1945 to August 1946, the Chinese troops stationed in South China entered Hong Kong and were transported by boat to the northeast and north China from Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon. The National Government and the United Kingdom held representations on the matter. Although the relevant agreements on the transit of Chinese troops to Hong Kong have been concluded, the two sides still face friction. The National Government not only took advantage of the military cross-border machine to conduct military deployments for the reception of north and northeast China, but also affected its internal affairs and extended its sovereignty over Hong Kong. This incident profoundly affected the political situation in the early post-war Hong Kong and Sino-British relations.
