“互文”(又叫“互辞”,也称“互言”,又叫“互文见义”、“互文对举”、“文互相备”),是古代文章中一种特殊的表达方式,也是古文中常用的修辞手段。这种修辞手段在现行中学《语文》课本选用的古文中很常见。可惜的是我们有些教者往往把精力都花在文言虚词、文言实词的归纳整理及语法关系的分析上,而对这种极为常见的修辞方式则未能给以足够的重视,结果常常是事与愿违。虽然教者主观上想教得明白,可是到头来却往往弄得连教者自己也感到文意抵牾,诘屈难通,有时简直陷入捉襟见肘的窘境。比如选作中学教材的《木兰辞》中的“雄兔脚扑朔,雌兔眼迷离”两句就是一个很能说明问题的例子。这两句诗长期以来人们就感到费解,究其原因,原来是一些人不了解
