Foreword Deposit geology staff’s main task is prospecting. In the prospecting process, there are many ways to make use of it. The most important of these is the geophysical prospecting method, which can effectively determine the exploration target (that is, the ore body). Ore often appear in groups, forming a metallogenic area. Regional evaluation of the mining area is part of the overall strategy of prospecting and exploration. Regional assessment of mines is sometimes elusive and often incomplete, qualitative and subjective. Here we will present the massive sulphide mines in the greenstone areas of Quebec, Canada and Ontario, using data from regional geophysical maps and using an objective and quantitative empirical method to identify and evaluate the prospects.
