With the development of computer information technology, its application in teaching is more and more widely. This paper describes the process of mathematical modeling and computer technology in which the application, selection of mathematical modeling competition as an example, the use of MATLAB software to analyze the construction process of population model to improve the efficiency of mathematical problem solving.
