“气阻”是在炎夏或气压较低的地区,车用汽油比较容易气化,从而造成汽车发动机汽油泵供油不足,甚至供油中断,使汽车被迫停车,待发动机供油系统冷却后,才能继续行驶,这种现象称为“气阻”或“气塞”。产生气阻的原因有气候的影响、发动机通风结构、汽油泵结构,驾驶方法及汽油挥发性等。汽车产生气阻给交通运输带来很大的危害,更不适应战备的需要。1968年石油部、交通部、商业部遵照伟大领袖毛主席关于“备战、备荒、为人民”的教导,组织了汽车气阻试验小组(上海组、北京组),分别在广东乐昌、信宜、浙江莫干山地区及新疆吐鲁番、云南源江等地进行了道路试验(以解放牌汽车为主)和室内台架试验,初步摸索了汽油馏程对气阻的影响。产生气阻有二个原因,一是汽油馏份轻挥发性较高时容易产生气阻。另一个原因是由汽车结构造成气阻,尤其解放CA—10B型发动机,由于汽油泵装在排气管的后下面,受排气管的散热影响最易产生气阻。但解放CA—10B型、CA—30型、大道奇等汽车已大量投入到国民经济建设运输战线上,即要发挥轻油作用,又要使这些车辆正常行驶,如何防止气阻现象呢? 全体试验同志针对产生的矛盾,反复学习毛主席关于“革命战爭是群众的战爭,只有动员群众才能进行战爭,只有依靠群众才能进行战爭”的教
