锗酸铋(BGO)晶体属立方晶系,在036μm波段有良好的透过率,无自然双折射和旋光性,具有良好的光学性能。用BGO晶体制得的声光调制器的性能:中心频率80MHz,3分贝带宽12KHz,对于驻波型器件,在1W驱动功率下,零级调制效率可达57%(633nm)。除声光效应外,BGO同时具有电光、磁光、光折变和激光等光电子性能。讨论了在BGO声光效应的基础上发展新颖复合功能器件如声光调Q/激光、声光锁模/激光的可能性。
Bismuth germanate (BGO) crystal cubic system, in the 0 3 6μm band has a good transmittance, no natural birefringence and optical activity, with good optical properties. The performance of the acousto-optic modulator made with BGO crystal is: 80MHz center frequency, 12KHz with 3 dB bandwidth. For 1W drive power, the zero-order modulation efficiency can reach 57% (633nm) for VSWR devices. In addition to the acousto-optic effect, BGO also has electrooptic, magneto-optical, photorefractive and laser optoelectronic properties. The possibility of developing new composite functional devices such as acousto-optic Q / laser, acousto-optic mode-locked / laser based on the BGO acousto-optic effect is discussed.
