This article discusses that the knowledge economy seeks a feasible way for the sustainable development of mankind. The key to analyzing the knowledge economy is to establish a “national innovation system” with continuous innovation capabilities. Explained that intelligent buildings are efficient places for knowledge innovation capabilities. The intelligent architect’s historical mission and responsibilities are presented.
