昆虫的抗药性发展很快,防治农作物的害虫,只靠施用农药,效果就会大减。因此,治虫必须有全面的计划,其中一个重要组成部分是寻找和利用抗虫的抗源。Painter R.H.认为,处于类似田间环境条件之下,比其他植物受损伤较少或受侵扰较轻的植物,在遗传学上被称作是抗虫的(resis-tant)。至于植物为什么抗虫,这涉及三个基本组成部分:不偏爱(nonpreference)——植物主要由于缺少某种物质,害虫不喜爱在其上产卵、隐藏或取食;抗生现象(antibiosis)——
