北宋政府将官员的家庭治理视作吏治的一个重要组成部分。对出现“闺门不睦”、“闺门不肃”等闺门之故的官员给予惩处。对官员置妾、雇用女口以及特定的两性关系也有严格的约束。官员不能雇用管辖区内的女子为其服务,同时要求官员洁身自好,不得与社会上的倡女有染,更不能纳倡女为妾。宋代对闺门之故的防治,严禁官员雇佣所辖部内婢女以防权力寻租,这些规定是加强吏治建设的重要内容,对于当下加强廉政建设也具有积极的借鉴意义。
