On December 25, just as the Christmas and the United States went up and down throughout the United States, the attempted bombing by Nigerian Abdullah Mutalab shocked the Americans with cold sweat. The U.S. rival Al Qaeda subsequently issued a statement alleging that it was responsible for the incident. Obama, who is on vacation in Hawaii, immediately responded by saying that he would fight the fight against terrorism at all costs and bring the people involved to justice. He also ordered the security measures to be strengthened. In view of the fact that the father of the suspect recently briefed the U.S. on his son’s extreme performance, how the suspects passed the list of terrorists and obtained legal visas from the United States, and how they successfully carried explosives to the aircraft through airport-level security checks. How the security system effectively prevents such individual terrorist attacks in the future has become the focus of recent controversy in the United States and the ruling and opposition parties.
