Iron shielding is used to compensate for magnetic interference in the cell installed at the end of the electrolysis plant. The magnetic field mode and hydrodynamic behavior of the trough in all asymmetric locations in the electrolysis plant were analyzed by computer program. The results of the simulations and the performance measured from the cells operating at these locations were compared. Second, the magnetic shield has been designed and installed in four test slots. Experiments prove to be successful. This article details the results of calculations and their industrial applications.
