由福建省农科院院长刘中柱研究员确立和指导、黄世贞副研究员等人组成的“诱导稻类结瘤固氮研究”课题组,经过3年攻关,对水、旱稻多个品种进行广泛试验,成功地诱导根瘤菌进入稻类作物结瘤,结瘤率高、重现性好,有固氮酶活性。1992年11月7日该研究已由省科委组织通过成果鉴定。由“全国非豆科作物结瘤固氮研究”总理基金专项主持人陈廷伟研究员等组成的专家委员会审议后认为,这是稻类作物固氮研究的重大突破,在国内外居于领先地位。该研究不仅对于揭示非豆科作物固氮的奥秘具有重大的理论价值,而且对于农业生产上开辟廉价、节能、无污染的新的氮素肥源有重要的实践意义。
